Nvidia’s upcoming Blackwell AI chips have encountered a design flaw, causing a manufacturing delay of at least three months. This setback could disrupt plans by tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and Meta, who have invested billions in these processors for new AI-driven data centers. The delay, reported just months before the scheduled delivery, could push back the opening of these hyperscale data centers to early spring 2025. Nvidia's stock has dropped significantly, and the company faces additional challenges, including a DOJ antitrust investigation.
