Real estate developer Edge has successfully delivered EDGE East Side to PIMCO Prime Real Estate. The innovative and open architectural design of the approximately 140-meter-high office building near Warschauer Brücke sets a new landmark in Berlin. The tallest completed multi-story building in the city, it comprises 37 floors covering approximately 80,500 square meters, with a usable area of around 65,000 square meters. The building, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), in collaboration with Aukett & Heese, is pre-certified as Platinum by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and is targeted for WELL v2 Gold certification. Amazon will be the primary tenant, accommodating over 3,400 employees. The construction process involved innovative approaches, such as using low-carbon concrete to reduce CO2 emissions. PIMCO Prime Real Estate, through a joint venture with Allianz group entities and Universal-Investment, acquired the building in a forward deal. The completed EDGE East Side Berlin highlights the success of collaboration and sustainable, user-focused design in the real estate sector.
