NEW YORK, September 21, 2026 — CREtech, the world’s leading community of professionals devoted to technological and sustainable innovation in the real estate sector, announced today that Sean Yajnik, Managing Director and Head of Digital Infrastructure Advisory – Americas at Macquarie Capital, will speak at CREtech New York 2026, taking place October 20–21 at the Javits Center in New York City.
Yajnik will join the mainstage session, “The State of the Data Center Marketplace: Power, Capital, and the Race to Build,” on October 21 at 9:10 AM EDT.
As data centers move to the center of institutional capital, corporate strategy and global infrastructure planning, the sector is facing unprecedented demand alongside significant constraints around power availability, site selection and development capacity. The session will bring together leaders representing multiple sides of the market to examine how these forces are reshaping data center investment and development.
Yajnik brings more than two decades of M&A, strategic advisory and transaction structuring experience in the global telecommunications sector. At Macquarie Capital, he leads the Digital Infrastructure advisory team, which works with corporate and financial investors on M&A, capital raising and debt advisory initiatives across data centers, consumer broadband, enterprise fiber and wireless infrastructure.
Prior to joining Macquarie Capital, Yajnik was with TD Securities, where he specialized in U.S. digital infrastructure client coverage and M&A. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Moderated by Stephanie Yarbrough, Partner at DLA Piper, the session will explore the issues defining the next stage of the data center market, including why energy availability has emerged as a major constraint on growth, where institutional capital is moving, how developers and occupiers are approaching site selection, and how energy strategy and sustainability considerations are influencing long-term asset value.
The panel will feature perspectives spanning digital infrastructure, brokerage, corporate real estate and energy as the industry responds to rapidly growing demand driven in part by AI and increasingly infrastructure-intensive technology.
