Alexia Nadeige Pamela Laird, Sustainability Director, Landsec
Alexia leads on sustainable design across Landsec’s extensive development pipeline comprising of prime commercial office developments, major refurbishments as well as large urban regeneration masterplans. Her role is to shape the environmental sustainability and net zero strategy for all planning, design and construction activities and deliver on ambitious targets. Before joining the company in 2019, Alexia worked for a large engineering consultancy and a developer and contractor, bringing wide-ranging experience in the built environment. Alexia is heavily involved in a number of industry forums including the Net Zero Carbon Building Standard and the Mass Timber Developer working group.
Kat Hanna, Co-Managing Director London, Avison Young
Kat is Co-Managing Director for London and Director of Strategic Advisory at global real estate advisor Avison Young. Her role includes advising public and private sector clients on a range of issues including public policy and town centre regeneration and working with AY UK Leadership on transformation and growth, corporate strategy and business planning. Kat has worked in London politics, policy and development for the past decade, and is a regular commentator on the built environment. She is a Chair of the New London Architecture NextGen Committee and a trustee of the London Society.
Lauren Moss, Senior Vice President - Chief Sustainability Officer, Vornado Realty Trust
Lauren is the Senior Vice President – Chief Sustainability Officer at Vornado Realty Trust, where she oversees the Company’s industry-leading sustainability programs including initiatives focused on energy efficiency, green cleaning, waste diversion, technology and infrastructure, and healthy environments. Lauren has more than 20 years of experience managing sustainability, energy and capital improvements for large-scale buildings and portfolios, and is recognized as an industry thought leader and advocate on green policy, regulation and compliance. Prior to joining Vornado, Lauren was Senior Vice President at Adai, the administrator of the Fitwel certification program, and previously worked in the sustainability practices at engineering firms NORESCO and Steven Winter Associates.
Simon Chinn, Vice President Research & Advisory Services, Urban Land Institute
Simon is Vice President, Research & Advisory Services at the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where he is responsible for managing its innovative research agenda covering the key issues shaping the future of cities and the real estate industry including climate change and sustainability, investment and development trends and shifts in demography and technological change. Prior to joining ULI, Simon specialised in research on global cities and real estate for Grosvenor, one of the world’s largest privately-owned international property businesses. Simon’s role involved undertaking analysis on global city developments to inform the company’s long-term strategy and thinking on cities. He has undertaken major research projects on megatrends for real estate, examining topics such as urbanisation, demographic change, digital disruption and climate change. Simon also has previous experience working in urban planning, economic development and strategic consulting for the retail sector.
Adding to an esteemed group of C-Suite speakers, Alexia and Lauren will take the stage for a panel on, “Decarbonisation Without Carbon Tunnel Vision,” while Simon will join Sarah Ratcliffe and Lucy Musgrave on a panel, "Breathing Life Back Into Our Spaces, Places, and Cities: The Players Behind the Policies.” Additional speakers and session information will be announced soon.
