July 13-14 Event Focuses on Resilience + Reinvention: Real estate in a time of fundamental change
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (May 1, 2021) – The MIT Center for Real Estate again hosts its annual World Real Estate Forum, virtually on July 13-14, 2021. The Forum is an unparalleled gathering of industry thought-leaders, distinguished MIT faculty and researchers, and real estate innovators, engaging in a wide-ranging conversation about technology, innovation and the future of the global real estate industry. The World Real Estate Forum will pay particular attention this year to pressing challenges related to climate change.
“The MIT Center for Real Estate has a storied, 35-year history of pioneering research that’s on the leading-edge of industry innovation and transformation,” said Prof. Kairos Shen, Executive Director of the MIT Center for Real Estate. “One way we achieve our mission is by uniting industry thought-leaders with the creative minds from MIT each year at the MIT Forum, for a lively and provocative conversation about the future of real estate.”
The 2021 program includes sessions on:
- Water, Wind & Fire: Understanding the impact of climate change
- CRE Retrofit: Decarbonzing the built environment
- Digital Twin: How virtual buildings can make the physical more sustainable
- Air Quality and the Value of Consumer Cities
- A New Level of Smart: When 5G and real estate go hand-in-hand
- (un)Real Estate: A real estate economy grows in the Metaverse
And a new program called the MIT Innovation Showcase, where attendees will learn about new innovations from across MIT’s campus, directly related to the built environment.
