HELLO ALFRED’S TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM CONTINUES TO REDEFINE RESIDENT EXPERIENCE
Hello Alfred
New service tier “Powered by Alfred” provides a single, shared access point to power the resident experience and drive property performance
NEW YORK, NY — March 26, 2019 — Hello Alfred, the leading national residential experience company, today expands its reach with “Powered by Alfred”, its resident-first technology platform that provides an end to end experience for residents, while also allowing properties to offer the technology and services that are critical to operate in today’s competitive environment.
Hello Alfred, which launched its human-powered operating system for the home in 2015, began as the only company to provide recurring, trusted, in-home services— from grocery shopping to clothing care to prescription refills — in order to make urban life easier. Today’s Powered by Alfred launch marks a critical moment in the company’s mission to make help a universal utility, allowing the company to not only increase its market share, but also reach more people in different types of buildings.
Powered by Alfred modernizes the way buildings and residents interact with each other. The new offering allows for all inquiries, appointments, and even payments to be integrated into one unified platform, while continuing to provide residents with the lifestyle services they need.
Properties with Powered by Alfred have access to Hello Alfred proprietary technology, including the Resident App, Everyday Hospitality Services, and digitally enabled support from Alfred Hospitality Specialists. Through Alfred Building Basics, different platforms that currently impact the residential living experience will be consolidated, delivering the only app a resident needs to manage their life at home.
Hello Alfred has quietly been piloting Powered by Alfred for the last six months and over the next four weeks it launches in all Hello Alfred markets, including New York, New Jersey, Boston, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Seattle, Atlanta, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale. This expansion increases the company’s availability to well over 150,000 residential homes.
This expansion allows residential properties to pick from a variety of different packages and customize the offering that best meets their needs. While Hello Alfred’s signature in-home service offering is not available through Powered by Alfred, properties are able to upgrade service levels at any time.
The only resident-first end-to-end platform for residential real estate
As more of today’s modern consumers are increasingly time-starved, studies show that over 1.81 hours per day are spent on recurringhousehold tasks. Consequently, consumers expect their brands, homes and products to deliver time-saving convenience and personalization, all through a seamless experience.
“As WeWork transformed commercial real estate, Hello Alfred is transforming residential real estate, and redefining what it means to live in a city today,” said Marcela Sapone, CEO and Co-Founder of Hello Alfred. “This business expansion allows us to not only satisfy increasing demand for our service, but to connect every part of the resident experience — from the moment you sign your lease, until the moment you move to another Hello Alfred building.”
Hello Alfred was built for residents, by residents, to address every task that impacts a city-dweller’s routine — whether it be offline, online, administrative, or simply time-consuming — to improve their overall satisfaction and quality of life. In the years since Hello Alfred’s inception in 2014, more than 1.5 million home visits have taken place, saving members approximately fifty years of cumulative time.
“We're very excited to be one of the first launch partners for Powered by Alfred, allowing us further focus on providing a premier resident experience, including a sustained level of convenience and hospitality that can't be found anywhere else,” said Traci Wilhelm, FVP, residential Portfolio at RXR Development Services. “Our residents love this service and the efficiency it provides, resulting in continued leasing, renewals and overall satisfaction in the building.”
A building’s “remote control” to access goods, services, and products
In a building that’s Powered by Alfred, residents gain access to an ever-expanding list of managed services that are performed by pre-vetted, best-in-class vendors in the Alfred network. Hello Alfred champions local businesses and entrepreneurs, with close to 70% of monthly spend going to the local community.
This local-first focus is complemented with a drive for more sustainable commerce, less packaging waste, easy recycling and upcycling of clothes and goods and a lower footprint, giving consumers a more responsible commerce experience.
A foundational tenant of the Hello Alfred platform is to provide a high-hospitality, human experience. This comes to the forefront in Powered by Alfred buildings through trained Hospitality Specialists supporting each market who create tailored experiences for residents, ranging from personalized nutrition and in-home technical support to pet care, personal fitness, spring cleaning, organization services from KonMari certified consultants and more.
“We are laying the groundwork to become the most trusted ecosystem of vendors and services for any person living in any city,” says Jessica Beck, Co-Founder and COO of Hello Alfred. “By keeping local businesses flourishing, we’re answering the increasing desire modern consumers have to shop local, while ensuring the highest quality standards for our members are upheld.”
