Former Cushman & Wakefield CEO Chuck Scott has co-founded Ruck Lane, a Toronto-based venture capital firm aimed at transforming real estate investment with a hands-on approach that combines capital with strategic leadership. Joining Scott are Mark Barr, with expertise in structured finance, and Terry Wallace, a seasoned construction executive. Ruck Lane’s “residency model” emphasizes partnership, allowing the firm to take active roles in its portfolio companies. The firm’s global advisory board includes key real estate figures, and current investments include Black Dog Development, Penalta, and Protego Whole Home Solutions. Scott left Cushman in 2023 to pursue new ventures.
