The 2019 CREtech NYC Conference will be held on October 16th and 17th at Dock72 in Brooklyn and will be the largest commercial real estate tech conference to be held in NYC in 2019.
In a rare public appearance, attendees of #CREtechNYC2019 will hear from Related's Hudson Yards Chief Digital Officer, Scott Evans and Chief Technology Officer, Kenneth Finnegan, about how technology has shaped Hudson Yards into one of the most globally sophisticated and innovative mixed-use projects ever constructed.
Scott Evans is the Chief Digital Officer of Hudson Yards. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the Digital Technology strategy for Hudson Yards which officially opened in March of 2019.
Scott has over 25 years of experience building and leading global digital businesses leveraging technology to evolve and accelerate growth.
Prior to joining Related Companies, Scott was the Vice President / General Manager of Global Digital Commerce at Tory Burch, responsible for the digital business strategy and execution in North America, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Finance and Operations at Ralph Lauren responsible for the strategic planning, finance, and operations of the North American and European markets while ensuring strategic alignment with the brand vision.
Kenneth Finnegan is the Chief Technology Officer of Hudson Yards. Prior to joining Related Companies, Kenneth spent 5 years with Whole Foods corporation, where he served as the Director of Technology Infrastructure responsible for the Technology Architecture and Store Construction teams, as well as the design organizations responsible for the global data networks, data centers, and project management teams.
He brings with him 30 years of technology experience in a variety of positions. He started his career as a UX developer on the FAA Air Traffic Control upgrade program. He moved on to positions as a NASA contractor supporting the International Space Station project as well as the Space Shuttle engine certification program. He continued his career in networking as the Cray supercomputer network engineer in support of the US Department of Defense.
Hudson Yards is one of the largest and most important new real estate developments in the world. It has redefined what a Smart City should and will look like in the future; integrating residences, offices, retail, performance and green spaces, public art and common areas that span 28 acres in Manhattan. Upon completion, 13 of the 16 planned structures on the West Side will sit on platforms built over the West Side Yards, storage yards for Long Island Rail Road trains.
