Nuveen has appointed Chad W. Phillips as Global Head of Nuveen Real Estate, succeeding Chris McGibbon, who will retire on June 30, 2025, after nearly 25 years with the firm. Phillips, who joined Nuveen in 2019, brings 25 years of experience in real estate investing and portfolio management. He will now oversee $141 billion in global real estate assets across 22 countries and lead the platform’s Global Executive Leadership Team. Phillips previously led investment strategies across workplace, healthcare, retail, and mixed-use sectors. Nuveen Real Estate, with over 750 employees and operations in 30+ cities worldwide, ranks among the top five global real estate investment managers.
