Discovering all the wonderful new real estate tech sites and the entrepreneurs behind them is how I get to spend most of my time. Really blessed. It’s a wonderful job. One of those sites and the entrepreneur behind it that really caught my attention is the CEO of IOTAS, Sce Pike. With over 15 years of experience and two successful tech companies on her resume, Sce is no stranger to the tech space. Sce and her team at IOTAS make Smart Apartments easy. They create a turnkey solution that makes the installation, setup, control and ongoing management super easy for developers, property manager, and end user! Sce is really on the front line of how technology in general will change how people live and how buildings will be designed.

IOTAS is a smart home IoT (Internet of Things) platform that integrates hardware with software and was designed as an enterprise level integration platform for MDU's. Their product digitizes properties from units to common spaces via installing smart outlets, switches, sensors, thermostats, and our (2017 CES Innovation Award winning) universal smart hub, all before the residents move in. This allows for property future proofing with new products (locks, Voice, etc) to be seamlessly added to the platform. Sce and her team outfit both new construction and retrofits from the units to the common spaces and are hardware agnostic. What’s really revolutionary about their product is that they understand how a home will react to people even before they move in or occupy the space.

When I asked Sce what one piece of advice would she give to someone looking to enter the real estate space she said “Do it. It’s the perfect time” and I couldn’t agree more! She is living proof!
