Had a really nice chat with Alec who co-founded a really cool start up which reflects his passion for clean energy and sustainability. The guy has chops! He was recently named one of Forbes 30 under 30 in energy and has BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech! Alec and his team are focused on reducing the energy consumption of buildings using smart technology. They built an Internet of Things (IoT) network to collect real-time building-level and environmental data to enable optimization of a building's energy usage and then help owners/managers reduce costs and environmental footprint via their proprietary software solution. Pretty cool and important stuff in my mind. But perhaps the most interesting part of the call was about something called “Spikeball”. Might want to ask Alec about that if you connect with him:)
