New York, NY — July 16, 2026 — CREtech New York, the leading real estate AI and innovation event, today announced that Doug Pearce, Executive Vice President of Technology at Waterton, will speak on the Main Stage at CREtech New York 2026, taking place October 20–21 at the Javits Center in New York City.
Pearce will participate in “The Effective Tech Stack for Multifamily: From Operations to Resident Experience” on Tuesday, October 20 at 1:00 PM ET.
Technology has become the operating backbone of multifamily, supporting asset performance, operational efficiency, portfolio-wide decision-making and the resident experience. As the number of platforms and point solutions continues to grow, owners and operators are facing a critical question: how can they build a connected technology ecosystem that scales across properties without creating greater complexity?
Sponsored by ElevateOS and moderated by Konrad Koczwara, CEO of ElevateOS, the session will bring together technology, development and operations leaders from Waterton, Morgan Properties and Kennedy Wilson to discuss how leading multifamily organizations are selecting, integrating and improving their technology strategies.
Pearce will be joined by:
The panel will explore how operators are consolidating disconnected systems, where technology is delivering the greatest efficiency gains and how digital platforms are reshaping communication, service delivery and resident satisfaction. The discussion will also examine how technology decisions made during development and construction can influence long-term operations, system compatibility and asset performance.
Pearce joined Waterton in 2013 and is responsible for all technology used across the company’s corporate offices and multifamily communities. He oversees technology support, the implementation of strategic solutions and the ongoing improvement of the firm’s technology platforms.
With more than 40 years of information technology and leadership experience, Pearce brings extensive expertise in building and supporting technology infrastructure for complex real estate and investment organizations. Before joining Waterton, he served as head of information technology at Henderson Global Investors, where he was responsible for the systems and infrastructure supporting the firm’s real estate, institutional and retail investment businesses in Chicago and Hartford.
Pearce holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Information Technology from the University of Hartford. He is also a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and its Innovation & Emerging Technology Committee.
“Multifamily companies are investing in more technology than ever, but the real challenge is ensuring those systems work together and create measurable value across the business,” said Michael Beckerman, CEO of CREtech. “Doug brings decades of experience connecting technology strategy with the day-to-day realities of real estate operations. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Main Stage to share how Waterton is approaching integration, scale and continuous improvement across its portfolio.”
CREtech New York 2026 will convene thousands of real estate and technology leaders for two days of executive-level programming, structured networking, pre-scheduled meetings and technology discovery focused on the future of commercial real estate in the age of AI.
