5 Influential Women in Real Estate

As the real estate industry has continued to expand over the last few years, a number of influential players have emerged. Most recently, HousingWire has announced its annual Women of Influence list. The list features dozens of women representing every aspect of the housing industry, ranging from lending to real estate professionals. This year represents the fifth year that HousingWire has released its annual list of women leading the real estate industry. With each passing year, nominations have continued to grow increasingly competitive.

1. Min Alexander
Promoted to senior vice president of real estate services for Altisource earlier this year, Alexander is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of more than 50,000 residential assets. Previously, Alexander supervised Altisource's expansion from 34 states just two years ago to 50 states in addition to Washington, D.C. As a result of that expansion, Altisource ranked among the top ten on the 2014 RIS Media Power Broker national ranking in terms of transaction volume.

2. Lisa Bolelli
During the last year, Bolelli of ClosingCorp has assisted in developing multiple technology products and solutions while also leading the application of those tools to make the development and implementation of new solutions easier. With more than 20 years of mortgage industry experience ranging from e-commerce management to vendor integrations, Bolelli has developed and managed approximately a dozen enterprise technology programs. Among those programs is eClosing solutions.

3. Nicole Brown
As the head of Nationstar's enterprise project management office, Brown has proven to be instrumental in the firm's growth during the last two years. That tenure has included overseeing teams in the United States as well as India and the Philippines. Brown has also worked to reduce offshore operational costs for Nationstar by 20 percent while simultaneously increasing production performance. As part of her efforts to establish an offshore delivery framework, Brown also created a data reporting structure.
4. Meg Burns
Last year, Burns was appointed as the managing director for Washington, D.C.-based Collingwood Group. The firm specializes in identifying and securing business opportunities in the federal arena by assisting financial service companies in ensuring they are in compliance with federal regulations. In her role as managing director, Burns is considered one of the most influential individuals in the housing industry while engaging in a broad spectrum of policy discussions. During her career, Burns has also proven to be an important contributor to housing policy and has shaped some of the most important policies in the industry.
5. Jennifer Creech
Over the course of the last year, the CEO of InHouse, Jennifer Creech, has increased the firm's technology offerings by approximately 50 percent. As a result, the firm has been able to expand into new markets while expanding its national presence. Since taking the helm at CEO in 2009, Creech has lead the development of InHouse's commercial technology, including pricing structure development and branding. Due to her efforts, InHouse has become the only organization in the United States to provide residential as well as commercial appraisal management technologies.
