Apple has filed a patent application for a non-visual navigation guidance system designed to assist users with walking, biking, or navigating through unfamiliar environments. The system could provide turn-by-turn directions through spatial audio cues in AirPods or haptic feedback from devices like specialized gloves, a walking cane, or an Apple Watch. It aims to help both visually impaired individuals and those already occupied, offering guidance without needing to look at a screen. The system could adapt to dynamic environments, offering real-time adjustments for obstacles and changes in a physical space. This technology could be integrated into future Apple devices to enhance accessibility and navigation.
