The CREtech London Sessions Series: Christian Ulbrich and Raj Singh

Welcome to the all-new CREtech London Sessions Series. Over the next few weeks, we will be offering a sneak peek into each and every one of the brilliant sessions we have lined up at our London show on May 8th and 9th. Think of it as a trailer to the event. A spotlight on the speakers, the session themes and some context around how each and every hour of the two-day event has been carefully curated to deliver a programme that is unwaveringly relevant in today's market.

You won't find any "whys" in the titles of any of our sessions. It's all about the how and the when. So, if you want to find out how the design and development team behind 8 Bishopsgate, one of London's newest tall towers, is bucking the current office leasing trend or what makes a successful large-scale regeneration scheme or digital district, we've got you covered.

If you want to know how AI is impacting the sector; both from the real estate and tech perspectives, then make sure you stick May 8th in your diary as we will be hearing from JLL's chief executive Christian Ulbrich and, later that day, a closing keynote from Google's Ed Parsons. The ultimate AI bookends.

We really do have all bases covered. From what occupiers want in 2024 and beyond to the major London developer powering its portfolio using its own solar farm and from the next generation of truly innovative real estate stars "refusing to put a limit on ambition" to a keynote bravely exploring whether sustainability in its current guise has had its day, this content is bold, brave and fresh.

Starting from the beginning - always a good place to start - here is your session spotlight on our event opener. AI Revolutionising Commercial Real Estate: A fireside chat with JLL's CEO

Where else will you be able to hear, first-hand and live, from the chief executive of one of the world’s best-known and most innovative real estate companies? A rare event appearance from Ulbrich, he will take to the stage with Raj Singh, managing partner of JLL’s venture capital and innovation arm JLL Spark on May 8th at 10am for a fireside chat like no other.

Ulbrich and Singh are more than just huge names within the sector. They have real experience of what it actually means to position a large business to embrace technology and innovation. From the launch of JLL Spark back in 2017 -  a move that Ulbrich described at the time as a “drive to be the clear global leader in digital real estate services” - to the launch of a $100m tech fund in 2018 and the creation of the JLL Technologies business division in 2019, JLL has always been one of the more forward-thinking property firms in the technology and innovation space. And, crucially, it has taken that power of thought and turned it into tangible action.

Ulbrich has set a formidable example, showing just what can be done and achieved when big bets around innovation are made and Singh, who joined JLL Spark as managing director in June 2021, has facilitated much of Ulbrich’s ambition through his work around strategic technology investment.

In this CREtech London fireside chat, the pair will be discussing everything from the power of innovation and technology as substantial drivers of growth within the business and how AI is revolutionising commercial real estate.

As far as sessions go this is a one-shot deal, very unlikely to be repeated in the near - or even distant - future. It’s a non-negotiable so register here and if you need any more convincing you can get 20% off your ticket if you register before March 11th with the code EMILY20
