New York’s Leading Commercial Real Estate Landlords to speak at CRE // Tech New York on December 7 Largest event ever in CRE tech industry to feature panel of executives from Hines, Paramount Group Inc., Rudin Management Company and SL Green Realty Corp. New York, NY (October 5, 2017)-- CRE // Tech (cretech.com) announced that the 2017 CRE // Tech- New York Event will feature a panel of New York City’s leading landlords in commercial real estate. Moderated by Paul Amrich, Vice Chairman, CBRE, panelists include Tommy Craig, Senior Managing Director, Hines, Albert P. Behler, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Paramount Group, Inc., William C. Rudin, CEO and Vice-Chairman, Rudin Management Company and Andrew Mathias, President, SL Green Realty Corp. This panel of prestigious landlords will share their perspective on both technology as a tenant base in New York City as well as how they are investing in technology within their company and throughout their properties. New York City has become the hub of commercial real estate technology and this panel will shed light on why the city has been so successful in attracting top talent and investment dollars. Moderator, Paul Amrich, serves as Vice Chairman in the New York City Advisory & Transaction Services Group and combines marketing intelligence and an incisive understanding of his clients’ goals to consistently achieve outstanding success in leasing and repositioning properties. Mr. Amrich’s expertise lies in forging and nurturing alliances with the many landlords and financial institutions he serves. He has completed more than 15 million square feet of leasing transactions, and currently successfully represents more than 13 million square feet of Class A office space on behalf of New York’s premier landlords. With 21 years in the business, Mr. Amrich joined CBRE in 2006, after beginning his career at Cushman & Wakefield in 1996. He is the youngest Vice Chairman in the firm's history and has been included in the prestigious Colbert Coldwell Circle, the Top 100 Global Producing Professionals every year since he started at CBRE. In the last seven years, he has been one of the top 25 producers nationally at CBRE. Panelists include: Mr. Craig, is a senior managing director of Hines and became the regional officer and partner responsible for the New York Tri-State office in 1996. His responsibilities include managing development, redevelopment, acquisition, construction, modification and/or interior fit-out projects aggregating (since 1982) approximately 21 million square feet.  He has been directly responsible for projects and transactions valued in excess of $15 billion (value at completion) during this period. Mr. Craig served as an adjunct professor of Real Estate Development at the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate at Columbia Business School from 2010 through 2015, as well as a guest lecturer at New York University. He was a recipient of the Building Trades Employers’ Association (BTEA) Award in 2012 and 2007, and of the Police Athletic League Award in 2009, Member, Board of Trustees, Executive Committee and Chairman of the Real Estate Committee, Phipps Houses, New York City’s largest non-profit developer of affordable housing, and Member, Citizens Budget Commission. Albert Behler has been Paramount Group’s Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President since 2014. He joined the company in October 1991 as President and Chief Executive Officer, where he oversaw all of the acquisitions and dispositions that produced Paramount Group’s current portfolio of assets. Prior to joining Paramount Group, Mr. Behler held various leadership positions at Thyssen, a German multinational conglomerate. Mr. Behler’s board and association memberships presently include serving as a member of The Real Estate Roundtable, Washington, D.C.; a member of the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York; a member of the Urban Land Institute, where he is also a member of the Board of Directors of the ULI Greenprint Center for Building Performance; a member of the American Council on Germany’s Business Advisory Committee; and a member of the Board of Citymeals on Wheels. Mr. Behler is also a former Chairman of the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE). As CEO and Co-Chairman of Rudin Management Company, William C. Rudin oversees the Rudin real estate portfolio in New York City. Bill currently serves as Chairman of the Battery, and is a Board Member of the Partnership for New York City, the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York University, the Alliance for Downtown New York, the Economic Club of New York and the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation. He is Chairman of The Real Estate Roundtable; and is the Chairman-elect of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Following Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Bill was appointed President of NY State Governor Cuomo’s Empire State Relief Fund; and was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Pataki-McCall New York State Tax Relief Commission. He is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations and The New York City Marathon Committee. Andrew Mathias serves as President of SL Green Realty Corp., New York City’s largest commercial office landlord and one of the nation’s leading real estate investment trusts. He also serves on the New York-based company’s Board of Directors. He has been with the Company since 1999, when he joined as a Vice President. Prior to joining SL Green, Mr. Mathias worked at Capital Trust and Victor Capital Group. At both firms, he was involved in a wide variety of real estate principal investments and advisory transactions, both on behalf of clients and for the firm’s own account.
