New York, NY (January 21, 2022) — CREtech, the largest international community of professionals devoted to technological innovation in the real estate sector, has announced the return of Europe’s most important real estate technology networking conference, with Julie Hirigoyen, CEO of UK Green Buildings Council (UKGBC) set to deliver a Keynote Presentation. CREtech London 2022 will take place on 27th-28th April at one of London’s premiere event venues, Magazine London.
CREtech’s successful London and New York conferences in October 2021 saw almost 2,500 industry professionals in attendance. The CREtech New York 2021 Conference was the company’s first in-person event since 2019, with London following shortly after as CREtech’s debut in the UK since it acquired FUTURE PropTech in 2019.
Attendees of CREtech London 2022 will get front row seats to exclusive keynote presentations and panels featuring the biggest names in the industry, the ability to schedule 1:1 in-person meetings through their event matchmaking app in CREtech’s industry renowned Tech Connect Lounge, and an all-access pass to the expo hall packed with the latest real estate technology solutions.
On Day 1 of the London conference, Julie will take center stage to deliver a keynote presentation ‘Recognising Real Estate as a Force For Good’. In an era that is characterised by growing social inequality and political unrest, a global pandemic, and catastrophic climate and ecological emergencies, this keynote will explore trends and emerging examples of built assets aimed at providing a solution to many of these social and environmental crises.
UKGBC’s mission is to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment, by transforming the way it is planned, designed, constructed, maintained and operated. A charity with over 600 member organisations spanning the entire sector, UKGBC represents the voice of the industry’s current and future leaders who are striving for transformational change.
Julie joined UKGBC as CEO in 2015, and has since been credited with transforming its strategy into a more member focused, holistic sustainability agenda with a strong focus on impact measurement. At the helm of a fantastic team, Julie and UKGBC have some important achievements to celebrate including galvanizing industry support for a net zero carbon legislative target in 2019, and influencing government policy at both national and local levels on a range of impact areas including net zero carbon, biodiversity net gain, climate resilience, and waste and resources strategy amongst others.
Michael Beckerman, CEO of CREtech & CREtech Climate, said: “With a mission to help the real estate industry embrace, adopt and future-proof their businesses, Julie’s keynote will set the tone for our event in London. Sustainability is the number one challenge – and opportunity – facing real estate and you can expect to see our expert speakers set out a way forward for the industry on this and many more issues. Having welcomed so many industry professionals for our inaugural London event last year, we can’t wait to welcome them and many more back to Magazine London in April.”
CREtech London 2022 will bring together 1,000+ industry leaders including tech startups, VCs, landlords, brokers and other key industry players who are eager to connect and get new deals done.
