across the Americas, Europe and Asia
New York, April 11, 2019 — CrediFi, a leading source for data and analytics for commercial real estate (CRE) finance, today announced Rex Nowell has joined the firm as Managing Director – Financial Markets Sales. This newly created role strengthens CrediFi’s distribution team in New York as the firm continues its strategic expansion.
Mr. Nowell joins CrediFi with more than 25 years of industry experience and understanding of the use cases for financial data and most recently served as Global Head of Research, Analytics and Data Sales at Exotix Capital, a specialist frontier and emerging markets investment bank.
“Rex brings a tremendous wealth of experience and knowledge to the firm,” said Jeff Hendren, President of CrediFi. “His addition enhances our capabilities and demonstrates our continued commitment to providing transparency to the opaque commercial real estate finance space. We are thrilled to have him onboard.”
Mr. Nowell will focus on bringing CrediFi’s unique bank data to hedge fund and mutual fund companies that invest in banks and insurance firms as well as sell-side providers of bank equity recommendations.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Nowell said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to join with a disruptive young FinTech company bringing transparency to bank and non-bank CRE origination lending, an area previously unavailable to those who invest in U.S. banks. Through the provision of data which helps signal potential short opportunities as well as attractive new additions to portfolios, I am eager to help build out CrediFi’s rapidly-expanding footprint in the equity investment space.
Prior to Exotix, Mr. Nowell served as Head of Sales — Americas for Roubini Global Economics, a global macroeconomic, policy and financial markets research firm. For 13 years prior, Rex was EVP – Head of Global Sales for Decision Economics with Allen Sinai.
The addition of Mr. Nowell comes on the heels of a recent announcement from January, highlighting CrediFi’s total capital raised had surpassed $29 million and the appointments of Jeff Hendren as President and Amichai Levy as VP, Research and Development.
